At Framework, we believe that for many of today’s homebuyers education and advising should go hand in hand. We’re seeing both being integrated into the mortgage marketplace, and we couldn’t be more pleased. We think they should be as automatic as finding a real estate agent.
The lending industry is finally moving in this direction: several new high-profile mortgage products hit the market in the last twelve months and require or incentivize homeownership services. It's our hope that our network of nonprofit counseling partners will soon see more demand for their invaluable one-on-one advising services.
To help these partners grow and meet the demand, as of July 1 we’re radically increasing the amount of revenue we share with them, from 20% to 80%. That’s $60 of the $75 fee for our homebuyer education course.
