During Homeownership Month, Framework was pleased to partner with Minnesota Housing, the Minnesota Association of Realtors®, the Minnesota Department of Commerce and USDA Rural Development MN. Thanks to their generous sponsorship, more than 400 households were given the opportunity to participate in homebuyer education at no cost.
Quality homebuyer education is the foundation of successful homeownership. A recent study conducted by Neil Mayer & Associates and the credit bureau Experian, found that homeowners who receive pre-purchase education and counseling services are 30% less likely to become seriously delinquent on their mortgage in the first two years after closing.
Minnesota Housing Commissioner Mary Tingerthal noted “The best way to prevent future foreclosures is to arm homebuyers with the information necessary to make the right choices.” To learn more about online homebuyer education, including ways to partner with Framework, contact us.
